Tesla will soon open a new Tesla Distribution Center in Hamburg, Germany. Therefore we are looking for an Associate Manager 3PL FSL Operations who will be responsible or partial responsible for 3PL performance with the 3PL DC in Hamburg, Germany (this may change with the continuous development of the network) on receiving, fulfilling, quality, inventory and cost. The successful candidate is a self-starter with a passion for supply chain and continuously demonstrates an ability to tackle time constrained problems and implement solutions. Where applicable, he/she is responsible for the proper registration of work done at our company system(s) and resolve process issues related reporting tools, data and information discrepancies.

- Ensures all assigned KPI’s and agreement commitments are fulfilled
- Creates opportunities to improve on performance standards and reduction of costs.
- Validate, create, change and/or implement current and new SOP’s / KPI’s to optimize/ improve operations and service levels. (validates and addresses potential contract/BRD constraints/ issues)
- Act as main point of contact towards 3PL, evaluate the operations and engage on continuous improvement mindset
- Works closely with EU Parts Inventory, Channel Planning and Tilburg GDC with the goal to achieve timely and correct parts stock levels at the DC.
- Work closely with transportation/ logistics to ensure timely inbound delivery and outbound pick-up in accordance with cut-off and KPI’s · Addresses and ensures immediate action and resolution on discrepancies and performance issues with 3PL on operations.
- Provides regular forecast on cost (monthly) and operational developments
- Ensures timely and complete monthly cost overview to management and reporting team.
- Monitors closely correct and timely invoice and payment completion to/ from 3PL and maintain excellent relationship with LSP’s, making sure Tesla’s interests are served to the maximum
- Ensures and initiates regular updates and reporting to management on operations
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Escalates functional and process failures to the appropriate support groups and leaders.
- Ensures that all team responsibilities and tasks are covered at all times
- Keeping up to date with local/international regulations that may impact DC operations. Involves required stakeholders and lead/drive resolution process to avoid/ mitigate impact on distribution operations.
- Ensure that team members are fully up to date with all relevant policies and procedures in order for them to be able to deliver on the activities of their role.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supporting/managing (3PL) warehouse operations in a complex and dynamic, preferable automotive, service parts distribution environment.
- Experience and analytical insight in WHS operations , performance standards & cost management.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability/ insight to set the right priorities to ensure efficient and on-going operations
- Working independent & within a team
- Working with international stakeholders in a global operating environment
- Spacious users knowledge of a warehouse management system
- Good knowledge of global warehouse and supply chain processes
